Had nice dainties at seven seas cafe, located a short way from the hotel. Loved that the room had a heating system, a coffee maker and a seating area. It was a really great stay.
-
Useful base for a 1-night stay. Everybody was friendly and the room was air-conditioned. Shopping centers and stores are next to the hotel. Also, we could visit a 1912 suspension bridge, it was 5 minutes' drive away. There is a fantastic restaurant within walking distance property.

I was able to print boarding passes In front of 2nd room they gave us was pretty roses. Loved the South Carolina Security GUARD He was very friendly.
Bad service. Gave me wrong room. few resturant not that good. No Gift shop. Bad Wifi. People working front desk rude! not impressed at all.

The pool and surrounding common area was very nice! Our kids enjoyed the floating rubber ducks in the fountains, plastic flamingos in the grassy area and food market. We were so close to the convention center and to our meet. Property had a nice low-key vibe and our kids seemed welcome.
Upon arrival our rooms were not what we expected. We upgraded, but that cost us an additional $60 per night for each room. That put us over our budget and the newly renovated rooms were still not that great. The kids insisted on a swim the evening we arrived, there was not a towel to be found near the pool or hot tub. Not great with wet, cold kids. The check-in and parking were interesting with whatever stage of renovation the hotel was in. We said as we left the property, probably will not be back.

The beautiful grounds and the convenience to other locations
-
Hotel location was excellent. Easy access to the free way, close to a mall for shopping and food. The beach as Sea World were less than 10 minutes away with traffic. Clean rooms and pleasant staff. We will be staying here again.

Location
1) There isn't enough parking, each room should have it's own space. It's hard when you have to park out front and then walk all the way to the back to your room. 2) The mattress on the bed needs to be replaced, the outside of the mattress is fine, but the middle sag's bad and you roll right into the middle of the bed.

While the bedrooms are pretty standard for a "motel", the pool areas, landscaping and restaurant facilities are really excellent. In terms of value for monet (I paid $120/ nighrt during peak season) I don't know how you could do better
There was a mix up with reservations. The Hotel blamed Booked.net and originally said they were full. When they reviewed the confirmation from Booked.net they found a room.

I liked the fact that pool was kept warm for kids.
Hotel has horrible out dated tv.

Vvalue and ambience
-
I liked that the conference was held in the resort, we did not have to travel at all.
It is outdated, smells, and needs many updates.
-
the room was very spacious and clean..my husband and i enjoyed very much walking around and exploring the hotel
the parking which it is also open to the public was awful... they had a comic convention and they preffered those people over hotel guests...i am hispanic and all the staff looked at me like im part of the cleaning crew or how could i afford to stay there...i was very offend by that..
-
The room itself was quite nice, and convenient for the conference which was also held there.
The bed had a hard mattress to sleep on and the pillows were square and hard.
-
It was close to home for a quick get-away
When I booked the room, I requested two queen beds in a handicap accessible room. The room we were given only had 2 double beds. When we went to the pool, there was no ramp for a wheelchair, and we had to walk all the way around the building to get to the pool. This was very distrubing that there was no other way to get to the pool, and not very handicap accessible. If there was no one with my son to push the wheelchair, he would not have been able to get to the pool. Also, when I booked my room, there was no mention as to a fee for parking. This was also very upsetting, and the person that checked us in was not very sympathic when I complained. All in all it was not a very good stay.

We stayed in the bungalow rooms with great adjacent gardents and gazebos. These are the best kept gardens we have seen at a hotel. The roses were beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The Trellis Restaurant for breakfast was outstandin.
Charlies resutaurant is in dire need of a facelift. It does not fit with the rest of the hotel.
